BIO
For around 20 years I was a professional wedding and portrait photographer winning a couple of Kodak awards but turned to landscapes about a year ago in 2005.In my wedding days I shot on a Bronica 6 x 6 format but my camera now is a Nikon D100 and I feel that digital and Photoshop opened a whole mew world to us guy's and gals. I am based in the UK moving from the south to lancashire at the end of 2005.
So its now 2009..long time since I updated my bio.
Now shoot on a Nikon D200 and process my work through Photoshop CS3.
Been to a lot of places since moving north.Three times to Scotland..going again in September 2009.
Had a week in Snowdonia..brilliant place....cant say the same for the weather we had.Ventured down to Devon...been for a week in Northumbria..had a glorious week on the North Yorkshire coast.Walked miles around the lake district in Cumbria.
Been to west Yorkshire no end of times and that's just the places I can recall.
Tried and tried to improve my photography which if any one looks thru my gallery back to the early days may agree that it has come a long way.
So many places still to see in the UK.We must have some of the loveliest places on earth to photograph here..there will never be enough time.Â

Thank Heavens for preservation societies. Without them, so much of the rail heritage of England would have been lost. Excellent photo and postwork of one of my favourite parts of the country. :-)

Wonderfully done, the light tones of the building against those moody skies is superb!

Ominous lighting... awesome work !

Wonderful moody shot. I love the old station building with its tall chimneys and all the weathered brick/stone. Great work!
kobaltkween
it would look picturesque if the clouds weren't so ominous. i think the combination is really wonderful, sort of sweet and provincial with an off-kilter undertone.
