Hi all - Well, I have some sad news. My computer has blown up. It is toast. My husband forgot to pay the electric bill. So they shut off our electricity. He paid the bill. They turned it on - but my computer was not protected from the electrical surge that occurred when they turned it on... it was not plugged into the new surge protector we bought recently (to replace the one that died). Soooo, I'm not sure if it can be saved or not. At this point I'm hoping that the data from the hard drive can be salvaged and moved to a backup. It's really toast. As they say on Star Trek, it's dead Jim.
Well, I created a picture on my laptop so that I can post something to share this news with you folks. It will be difficult to post comments to everyone's pictures. My email was on my regular computer, not my laptop. So I can try to keep up but it will be difficult. So I'm apologizing in advance for not being able to do comments as quickly. I'm not sure when or if my PC can be fixed. If it can't be fixed, I'll have to get a new computer or hard drive or something. That will have to wait until our income tax return comes back. Thank goodness I filed the tax return last night. Whew!

Add'l notes: I've been creating some new styles - the framing here is based off what I've created. (I've been doing this on the laptop on my lunch hour at work, which is why they're even accessible to begin with! I have a limited amount of goodies stored on this laptop since I do most of my stuff on the regular computer.)

What killerkane said;-) So sad.. and I know how aggravating it is to keep discovering things that were on the "old" computer! But the newest machines are so good and there are some amazing bargains out there--you might find a sweet deal indeed! And I like your little purple fae here--she looks like she could cheer anyone up!

This is a really bright and sunny picture full of the joy of life, despite the recent tradgedy experienced by her maker. Sweet Blossum seems like an apt title. I'm always a sucker for purple and this picture fairly explodes with it. Lots of life with the greenery and flowers. I agree with Killerkane that it is most likely your power supply and maybe your motherboard at worst; I bet your drive and its goodies will be saved. See you in a week. Good luck and hugs
