Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Yes, your life is entirely your call. The material things you possess do not make your life, What you have done, or not done is all that matters in the end. Well Bill, you set me to thinking - should have let this dog drowse on.

What a glorious sweep of time! I am amazed at how much you've packed into so few words. This is excellent, and I love the pic you've chosen to go with it.

Wonderful words/thoughts. I think many of us have thought similar thoughts, but never put them together in such a perfect way. My compliments.

Stellar and profound prose in this perceptive birthday dedication to Mark, Bill! And, I always wanted to be a writer, so I put in a lot of time and effort, and now I are one.

I came back to this 4 times because I wanted to let it sink (kind of like good wine)...First Bill (before I get to my connection), you couldn't have gotten a better inspiration than Marilyn & Tara: All thanks to them for inspiring you to post writing. This is very well written and I hope you do a lot more. Second, you got the feeling of looking at our age & lives & accepting what life brings, with a sense of embrace and accepting ease. And you did it with very compact phrases, nice rhythms, and you rhymed each stanza (!) after the first 2: It's a small point but a big one still, because rhyme has a way of carrying us unconsciously, of linking it all together, and that happens here. Very nicely written, a very 'up' way to share your reflections on life, and—third—linking me with it is wonderful, since this was a heavy birthday going into it, but like a dance going out. (It was heavy because of stuff last year, losses & the like.) I'm honored to be mentioned in connection to this...Then, the photo is wonderful—two souls in relaxed communion. And THEN—you listening, Madoff???—you gave BMadoff the best honor he'll ever get by putting him in this poem! Even if it's an unflattering reference, he got in your poem! Best damned thing that's gonna happen to him in an eon & he should be grateful 'cause he didn't earn it! Bill this is wonderful, and thank you for thinking of me with it: It's another wonderful birthday remembrance to make it one of my best, and your thoughts & way of saying them are easeful and touching. Hope you post a lot more. Ok, I've just taken up half the site, I'll stop now. Thanks ever so much for this...

I am really pleased that you have taken up writing as you certainly have a great talent for it. This is a lovely poem and when one looks back we certainly do make a lot of choices in our lifetime.
