Description
One of the advantages, as it were, of living along the Columbia River and the Pacific Northwest in general, is that we have the rail system.
Near where I work runs a fairly straight line of tracks and on one sunny day, after work, I stopped and took this shot looking east towards the Cascade Mountains.
I love travelling by rail and if given the choice, that's exactly how I want to travel to anywhere in the US.

reminds me when i was 5-6 years and my father took me to visi my godfather,his brother, it was only +-65 klix from our place but we had to switch trains 3 times -all local trains-and it was an adventure. a suggestion this one you could also do in B/W-for the nostalgy.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great show Mike, we have lots of rail lines here but sadly none of them carry passengers except for the one in Kansas City nearly 3 hours drive away.
