Old farmhouse in Leavenworth County, Kansas.
Shows design features that were caringly added sometime in the past 100 years.
Now empty, grounds grown over. Last used by a local charitable organization. New homes nearby.

Shingled in the forties by the type on there. The further chimney seems more modern and the paint is holding well. I would Love to restore that home. Excellent find.

Whenever I pass houses like these, I always wonder what stories the house and walls could tell about the families who used to inhabit it. It is like a mystery that shall never be known....rather sad in a way! Someone put their sweat and tears into building this fine house....
