Description

This was the saloon area. It was enclosed with windows all round. These are now all broken and, in some cases, missing all together and the roof is collapsing. This is where the seating and tables were for the passengers to partake of refreshments such as tea or fizzy drinks and light snacks. Many a fizzy orange did I have on one of these boats when I was a child. Oh, happy days. ------------------------------- Original Photograph 28-Mar-2009
