Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Cool. There was a funeral at the VA Cemetery here a few days ago for an old biker vet. His hearse was a two wheel trailer fitted with a shiny wooden black box with glass sides pulled by a three wheeled motorcycle! The entire procession, fore and aft, was made up of about 100 motorcyclists taking care of their own. Even made the front page of the Kansas City Times.

Hey, I like that bike! Fork it over!!! Stellar POV used along with sharp clarity, and stark contrasting light and shadow effects in this amazing foto, Maz! What kind of surface area was the Harley sitting on? It looks like some kind of yellow particle board.

Wonderful capture, love the differing keys to this shot, some high key stuff and low key stuff, nice one!

well this is a definite fav for the pov, the clarity of both the bike-parts and the ground (particle board, fine metaphor!), the wonderful motion of the shot, and the composition—taking the bike from one side, the angles, etc etc. And the play between metal and worn rubber, etc. (And that little red accent...) A fine musical piece of seeing.
