Description

I thought the stamen and the coloring on the petals looked like a hawk or an eagle. Do you see it?

It's like one of those inkblot type images that pyscho analysts make you look at to try to figure out what's going on inside of your brain. I see a butterfly here, I guess I always have to be different. Even without the hidden inkblot patterns, this is a a beautiful image!

There is a raptorial quality to this image. Is raptorial an actual word? I guess it is now. I love the colors, the shapes implied, and the whole richness of this capture. It's quite sensual as I can see a kind of velvety feel to this and I can smell the pollen, and hints of moisture in the air. I love it when photos imply so much more than they show, and you've done that brilliantly...you show us something, but there seems to be so much more of a world in this than we're seeing, but based on what you show, we feel it. Great stuff here. I love it...

love the comments (like the guy to the Rorschach administrator, "why're you showing me all these dirty pictures!") I see the raptor, but I also see a great little king sitting on his throne with his purple robes all around him. I even see a creature from another planet. But that's the flower kingdom, closeup it's constantly new & strange. A fun shot, but also a quality shot, in the layout, the petals & the clarity of the hues and the stamens. It could also be a mask for Chinese Opera (or Oriental Opera, whichever.) If you look closely...

The red inside part of the flower provides a really stark contrast with the white part of the petals.
