My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I know you can't but I wish I could comb that beach, this piece would look superb sanded down and a coat of clear varnish on it. A wood carver would be in dreamland along this coastline. Superb work Tara, and wet as you say looks very good indeed. Bravo!!!!!

I think wood is one of those things that does take on a special sheen when wet. Looks good. Once a piece of wood is on the beach, isn't it available for the taking...unless it is a private beach? Of course most people can't drag a full sized log away:)

OH Yes you are right about the wet. This looks wonderful indeed. Thanks for sharing.
mermaid
what a fine piece of wood...and yes it shows it's colors and textures more when wet... you know hereeabout it's real trendy going out collecting driftwood for decorations and artwork.

Oh, wow...I have no idea why, but I just though of Frank Herbert's novel "Soul Catcher" which wasn't his best work, but it captured something similer to this shot. Good trees...great natural images, and yeah...rain. I love shots taken in rain, there's just something about them, especially when the results are like this! The color is stunning, vivid, alive...super stuff here! I like. I like it a lot.
