Description

Recently I wrote to Marilyn (beachzz) that we should put our entire gallery into one huge piece. It was a joke. Well I have no shame, so this is my last 100 images blended into One! I did this Sunday morning & trust me: I went crazy. After 1 hour I told my images, "Get along, or else!" My images don't like each other...there were rivalries, family feuds, lawsuits: It was depressing. So, to spruce things up, I added mss's wonderful Metamorphosis image. Sorry Molly, but it really helped... Where'd I get the idea? From Andrea (durleybeachbum), because she tries so many things and does them so damned well. So if you don't like this, blame her. I'll give you her URL: Tell her she ruined a perfectly good career... Next project? I combine every comment I've ever received and make an abstract out of them. It should be a masterpiece...
Hope you all had a wonderful Easter and thanks for all your support--it's the best! Peace, Mark All Photoshop. mss's wonderful Metamorphosis image can be found here (the 2D Forum Metamorphosis Challenge). Oh, and zoom! I think it tells a story...

OMG, you did it!! I can see all of them, all that in fighting, that turmoil--but you know what--IT ROCKS!!! Kinda like that great meal you make from every single thing left in the fridge that turns out so good and you'll NEVER be able to do it again!!

Has the look of fine marble. Can you imagine this around your fireplace or in a tub in a lavish bath room? You've just influenced me to go snoop around in the 2D forum and eyeball mss's Metamorphosis image. Wow, now I know how Alice must have felt when she grew small and went through the little door at the bottom of the rabbit hole:-) There's a whole other world out there. Wonderful piece of art on your part Mark! I hope all the bickering among your offspring isn't keeping you up at night. LOL

Mark I just zoomed in on it and the experience was truly breathtaking. What a way to start the morning, you really outdid yourself with this idea brought to life. I'm sure Molly is going to love having been a part of this special work.

Wow! the concept reminds me of one of my favorite books, "Engine Summer", by John Crowley... This is a fantastic meld, with incredible depth and beautiful color blending. Awesome work!

I adore your sense of humor, it matches mine well. I also adore your image. It is beautiful. Everything blends in together so nicely. To me it looks like a sunset reflected on an ocean in the world of dreams. Then again, prehaps if this is 100 of your images blended together then it is 100 of your dreams. Kudos

I hate to say this, Mark, because I admire your work and know you put concentrated time and your entire heart and soul into this complex effort, but to me this composition looks like the colorized cross section of an earthquake fault, all fractured up after a huge temblor. So, it is difficult for me to distinguish between all of your last 100 images. And I won't get into the influences of Andrea and/or Marilyn.

WOW, what an idea...one I think I'm going to steal--um, I mean appropriate--at some point in the future. Great work, it actually has the vague sense of a manipulated photo, since I noticed what I took to be tree branches in some parts of the piece. The colors are fantastic, and your description was hilarious...artworks do tend to be solitary and temperamental...and lawsuits? That was brilliant. This is inspiring work and I love it.

I like this! A very funny idea, and one I've often though of using myself, only I didn't quite know how to do it. I don't know what the other images look like, but the net effect is quite hallucinogenic...like the last 20 minutes of a Stanley Kubrick film. I like this a lot, and thank you for all of the wonderful and very incisive things you've said about my work.

First of all, congratulations on 100 images. That's an impressive body of work especially considering the high quality of your posts. Obviously you have leadership qualities in that you were able to get your images to collaborate into such a splendid work of art. I can't imagine the struggle that must have been. : ) I am sure they are all happy with your choices. You are talented and funny. Loved the intro to this. The end result reminds me of a forest evolving through the seasons. Lovely work on an intriguing and admirable concept.
