Description

This is the top of Main Street in Edmonds, Washington. The City of Edmonds is down at the bottom of the hill. You're looking West across Puget Sound to the Kitsap Peninsula and the Olympic Mountains beyond. (The mountains are just under 8,000 feet.) Monday was the first really nice day we've had this year! The sun was out, it was about 68F, and I went to the beach on my lunch hour. It was like a mini-vacation! :)

Wonderful photo! I was stationed in the sound back in the late 70' early 80's. It is a great area!

How very beautiful this place is. The layers of landscape separated by the water is wonderful. Those snowcapped peaks are a treasure. Great shot.

I have to agree with cosine, what a great place indeed to call home, with views like this who needs a vacation. Superb landscape even though it's in portrait mode. Fantastic view Tara. Bravo!!!!!

Picture perfect. Now that I've just had some more success with a five frame panorama, my immediate thought is, "I wonder how much of a panoramic view of the sound and mountains you could get from that same vantage point?" Bet you were in the car though...
