Description
This is one of three squirrels that are here most every day eating under the bird feeders or on the knothole feeder out side the kitchen window. The largest of the three isn’t as shy as the two smaller ones, these is the smallest of the three. I call him Skedaddle Squirrel when I was fortunate enough to get a few shots of him; I was hiding behind the camera and a small potted plant setting on the porch railing.
Now if you new me you wouldn’t think that possible as I’m a pretty big guy, much wider than a pot and plant but I’ve hide behind the tripod and camera many times to get close to wild life but until I move my face out from behind the camera they’re really not sure just what is standing their.
Ok no ugly jokes in the comment please, LOL. Looking over the top of the plant I was able to get pretty close and get several shots of him but once I moved the camera I became a threat and off he skedaddled, hence the name. Thank you for stopping by to view my work and for any comments you care to leave each one is welcome and appreciated. Have a great day/night!!

He is so tiny, his hands are the same size as a sunflower seed. Great patience and capture.

Thanks for sharing that - and how you got the shot. Photographing children and animals takes a particular sort of skill. Wonderfully sharp focus & an endearing pose.

Great close up of the little mooch.

He looks like he's one foot away. Great shot with your 300mm lens. I'm beginning to work with one too. Now all I need are more birds to come around.

Very cool! Nice definition.

Wonderful capture! Each time I try to photograph a squirrel, they run to their holes, or hide in the bushes. :o) Once in while, I capture one with my camera, though.

Excellent and very opportune shot, great detail.....!!!

This is an excellent shot of the squirrel. The ones that come to our yard are quite bold and like to jump onto the bird feeder, and then they stay until they have had their fill or get chased away.
