Description

caecus congregatio, Latin for social blindness. A common condition, where parents carry on with their lives while blatantly ignoring and denying the dangers surrounding them and their children. Symptoms include. Repeating the mantra "My kid would never do that." Not believing evidence to the contrary. Believing the child and not their teachers. Enabling the child because it's easier than helping them. As a school teacher I've seen many cases of this dreaded disease. Please double click to see a much more detailed image.

Neelz, excellent as usual. My first thought was 'living on the edge' as many people are not equipped emotionally or financially to have children, but that that doesn't stop them. Many of them to 'fall' off the cliff' in difficult times.

Teeming! Brilliant image. The term is new to me. Sounds like it has overtures of the Sociologist examination of clan in perspective of 'majorities' and 'minorities'. Yet I can see it being used for a great number of other social items. I would counter argue that it is or can be a necessary survival trait that is not there by accident. Not everyone has a choice of their surroundings. Open ones eyes and be blinded lol choices. Enjoyed.

I too, was raised by teachers. One liberal, one conservative; and this would amaze both of them. It astounds me. Fantastic render.

WOW! Stunning work. I've seen that disease in some of my childrens friends parents. Sad really, when the child does finally get caught, doing.. whatever...Well, it certainly wasn't little Johnny/Jane's fault, some other bad child influenced them into it. Please deliver me from that type of parent. My children on the other hand are perfect! ROFLMBO... about as perfect as I was, lol
