Description
The Brown Thrasher is related to the Mockingbird and the Catbird, but larger and quite impressive at 11.5 inches long.
A ground feeder, he rustled through leaves looking for insects, and jumped into last year's unattended bird bath.
I was able to get a couple of shots before he heard me. This is a first time visitor to my yard.
Thank you very much for your kind comments on my last upload. I appreciate it. Thanks for looking.

How wonderful to know your birds so well Maria, and to know that this chap is a first time visitor. I am hoping that this year, once my garden is finished, I shall see more birds visiting. I will have lots of climbers on my fences, and hope to add some nest boxes and also more bird feeders too. I do so love birds and there are so many different and often very beautiful varieties as your photography has shown me, keep up the great work my friend. Hugs Jane xx
