OMGosh!!!! You are not going to believe this.....
My friend starts work as an interpretive ranger for Bodie State Park, this weekend! I had to take her up there to get her schedule and uniform, and of course I was thinking "photo op". Well all the rangers were so nice and kept telling me I need to come up and stay for a few days (my friend will actually be living in one of the old houses that they have remodeled inside) AND...... she will have keys to get inside several of the buildings that are off limits to the public!!!! They also invited me to come and participate in one of the "moonlight" hikes next month. I am soooooooo excited!!!
So keep checking back for some "unseen" areas of Bodie!!!!

I visited this town 2 years ago, the road is not good but the city very interesting! And your shot excellent!

Great shot. I've been up and down US 395 several times and saw the Bodie turn out - often wondered what's out there. I do know that in winter it frequently is listed as the lowest temperature in California. Now that I see what it's like I'm gonna have to check it out next chance I get.

You are so lucky! I can't figure out how to make the long drive and get home in the same day and I don't think I can afford both gas AND lodging to see this place. It really has my attentiona and you can bet I'll be watching for more on this from you!
