Description

Captured 5/25/09, at the beautiful Los Angeles National Cemetery in beautiful West Los Angeles, California. More than 86,000 veterans, going back to the American Civil War, are interred there. Took tons/tonnes of photos of the cemetery and ceremonies today. Huge crowd in attendance. Much more to come of this event. Have a nice day.

Well done. Very timely. My wife passed in Feb 2007...she was an Army nurse with two tours in Vietnam. She is interred in the beautiful VA Cemetery here in Leavnworth. I took pictures there yesterday...today was gray...didn't go back.

86,000 is a sad number but look at all those American flags. That took a lot of time. Grand tribute for all these heros Harry and thanks for sharing. Dana

Indeed! We don't do anywhere near enough in this Country to honor our lost. May they rest in peace - all of them, everywhere. Rob.

Wonderful work and dedication Harry! I took some beautiful shots at the Arlington Cemetary in Washington DC a couple of years ago and I also do love them. There is a certain peace in a cemetary shot... Beautiful! :)

I'm really glad you posted this Harry. It's important that we never forget the price some people pay, in order that we can live the way we do.
