Description

Please watch full size. For this image I used one of the new features of Vue 7.5, the planetary terrain. Very cool. I'm well aware that a planet this size wouldn't normally have enough mass to sustain an atmosphere (and, therefore, water). However, imagine for a moment that this planet has a core with a much higher density than Earth's or the other known planets. In that case, gravity could be big enough to sustain an atmosphere. At least, I know I've read of stranger facts, out there in this big universe... After all, reality is many times stranger than fiction. Thanks for watching!

Artur, a very interesting and unusual render. You space sky is, as always, brilliant and it appears you've figured out the spherical planet mode in 7.5 out. Good job!

"Dessines moi un mouton", coming from "le Petit Prince", famous writing from a famous French writer, St Exupéry. Something like that ?

Larry Niven imagined a world like this in "World of Ptavvs". It was artificial and made by an alien intellect. Yours looks kick ass. Wicked cool, in fact!

Excellent! I like the colors and lighting in particular. It's nice that you care about the real-world physics, but a simpler explanation could be that the picture was taken with a wide-angle lens (which makes the planet look smaller). ;)

Holy crap that's great, I didn't even know Vue 7 could do that. Wonderful, I love the terrain and vegetation especially (I'm an Earth girl).

Very nice image! Well, maybe the planet has a black hole for a core.... or a very cold old white dwarf.

Another stunning image ...excellent light and textures, and an amazing sense of scale...like how you've combined scientific theory with artistic license for the concept behind this image...well done again my friend!
