Description

Please watch full size. For this image I used one of the new features of Vue 7.5, the planetary terrain. Very cool. I'm well aware that a planet this size wouldn't normally have enough mass to sustain an atmosphere (and, therefore, water). However, imagine for a moment that this planet has a core with a much higher density than Earth's or the other known planets. In that case, gravity could be big enough to sustain an atmosphere. At least, I know I've read of stranger facts, out there in this big universe... After all, reality is many times stranger than fiction. Thanks for watching!

Exceptional, original composition. Fantastic landscape - how do you make the clouds follow the sphere? About the planet, "what if?" is always the "core" of any good sci-fi work. Superb.

Amazing! Well, if such a planet could in fact exist, I would love to visit it! Until then, I'll be happy to look over this wonderful image!

A wonderful scene, everything about it is great. Maybe those bars on teh pylons are creating a forcefield of some kind to hold the atmosphere in?

Absolutely incredible! Cool new tools for VUE and what a great image! The physics do make for an interesting question. You could always assume that its artificial - then that can open up a few possibilities.

Just put your pictures out and quit worrying about what everybody else might think. I couldn't care less whether it sustains an atmosphere or not, it looks good and thats enough for me right now. Well done Artur
