More from my day with Sig (junge1) ...
Driving across the North Cascades Highway, there are mountain peaks all around you. Every corner brings a new view, every vista is a tempting place to stop and take a picture.
We decided we would stop on the right-hand side going east, turn around in Winthrop, and take pictures on the right-hand side going back west. (For my friends who drive on the left, please adjust for the idea of driving on the right ... it really does make sense this way!)
There were plenty of places to stop, even so, and I remembered to turn around and take shots from every direction.
I didn't want to bore you with yet another big rock every day for a week, so here's a whole bunch at one time. Besides ... this is the way one experiences the North Cascades. It's peak after peak after peak, one gorgeous corner after another after another!
Don't forget to zoom. I've left this fairly big so you can get a better view.

Oh my gosh, what a fantastic collage. These photos just knock my socks right off! You got some outstanding shots. My husband and I took a vacation to see the North Cascades and we saw nothing but rain and fog. It is nice to see what we missed.

Oh, this is new to me. I've been through the Cascades but on Route 90 to the south enroute to Yakima. Superb job on your collage!

Tara, you should never take me on this route. We will not progress faster than a mile an hour. I would want to stop every 2 minutes to shoot images. It is magnificent - heavenly! Great collage my friend! :)

Tara, Thank you for helping me re-live the wonderful experience I had going across the North Cascade highway, we stopped in Winthrop for a bite to eat then continued to make the entire loop. WOW what a fabulous journey!! looking forward to doing it again this fall. Great photos of such a magnificient area!! First time through it took 2 days to complete the loop as I had my wife pulling over every couple of minutes. needless to say I fell in love with the area.
