Description

Shortly after I took the previous picture I proceeded north on highway 395 into Oregon. I drove past this old barn probably by 1/2 mile before I decided to turn around and take a picture. I guess it was the sagging roof. Future pictures of this trip will be posted in chronological order, i.e. Alaska pictures are coming soon. This picture was taken on 19 May 2009. Spectacular example of how an old post and beam barn can go through horrendous partial structural failures and still stand. I'm not sure I'd want to go in and out of there often but that structure still can serve many purposes...particularly storage. Great shot...colors, etc.
