Another wonderful painting by Phelinas from the time of queen Hayshepsout. I am especially intrigued by the mystical white buildings to the left, what may their function be? I assume that court dignitaries were present to guarantee the legitimacy of the child! :) A practice many European queens also followed, thousands of years later.

Superb presentation. It appears as if the queen's gaze is focused right on the event detailed in the hieroglyphs, as if she revels in the usurpation. Wonderful realization!

Une superbe composition avec ce nu au premier plan , le bas-relief de l'accouchement et les yeux accusateurs, fustigeant sans doute l'usurpatrice, (ou les yeux de Dieu.....) ! Une belle oeuvre, très esthétique, Jean !
