Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

More brilliant colors here, and I love the way it's all distributed. Fantastic work. In a sense, this reminds me of confetti thrown at a wild and fun party; it evokes music (heavy with drums and flutes) and fire-twirlers, and all sorts of other great things. There's a fiery sense to this as well, but it's not searing or "overly hot" and that completely rocks. Great work here!

another eye popping wildflower shot. Wildflowers are beautiful aren't they? We forget about them, after being immersed in the opulent full-bodied garden flowers we see everyday. But wildflowers are all that, packed into spindly & compressed & highly vivid snarly little creatures. They burst. You got a really nice play of petals and stems here, and captured those little yellow buds which look like lights at the ends of fiberglass tubes. A very bright 'new' feeling shot; and amazing that you got this from the river! Strange & beautiful, as all wildflowers are; and wonderful oranges & yellows.
