Description

I'm not totally sure, Dave, but I think this might have been the Pot Queen. I snuck up on this one at extreme risk to life and limb. It was worth the trouble, because I was able to photograph some sort of ancient text around the neck of the pot. I've hired a team of scholars to decipher the message. They tell me they have several of the characters translated so far, and that it appears to be some sort of name or title. They believe two of the characters might be numbers, but that theory is being hotly debated even now. (Oh lord, I WISH they would keep it down ... I need another nap.) Many thanks to those of you who are playing along and helping keep me entertained, and special thanks to Mike (Faemike55) for providing the voiceover for our program, which is already in progress. For those of you who feel like you may have missed something ... it's quite possible! You can see the beginning of this bizarre conversation here if you care. As it turns out, I have a cold. I'm getting far too much sleep but have no physical energy for anything, so my mind has sort of gone off on its own. If this is all just a little too weird for you, I'll totally understand if you just say "oh, nice reflections" or something and move quietly along!

Welcome back to our show! and this just in, our intrepid photographer has just captured a very rare image of the Queen Pot. As Tara puts it, she risked life and limb to get this shot! We are so proud of her today! I'm sure that the debate regarding the writing will go on for some time. We would interview our photographer but she says the the hunt has drained her and she just wishes to rest!! We say bravo for her expertise and quick eye and hope that she recovers soon for yet another exciting expedition into the Orange Building!

Nice reflection.... OK, I'm off!!! LOL... I wonder who is more entertained - you or me (us)!!! The Queen of the Pots is a very attractive specimen Tara with a remarkable waist.. I would love to know what those markings on her say! I am so glad you could go undetected and were not attacked by the Worker Pots... It could have ended in tragedy!! At least they do seem to be less violent than the African killer bees... Lucky you!!!

OOoh, Akasha, Queen of the Pots...oh wait, I'm blurring titles here. But I've gone from Jane Sibery to Samuel R. Delany in Beachzz's gallery, so why not make an Ann Rice reference as well? That's just me. But enough of my rambling. I love this shot. This has an archaeological quality to it, almost like you've been away for a bit, out in the lowlands of Agara, digging up gloriously glazed pots. I love the blue, and the rough band of texture around the top of the pot. It's fantastic. This is a favorite!

She does look very regal. I wonder if she has a vast collection of lids by Philip Treacey, like our Queen.

I have NO idea what's going on here, I even went back and looked at the first shot. Perhaps it's those alien pots that have stolen my brain and I can't make head or tails of anything. Or maybe I'm being stalked. It could be something else entirely, but I sure don't know. Oh, wait, I do know something--great shot!!!

I HAVE A THEORY. I think its a fake put there so you don't find the real queen, there's a little man in a hut somewhere knocking out these decoy pots muttering, this will keep those B%;!*?! scholars scratching their heads for years, then breaking out in a maniacal laugh. Don't worry beachzz this is just some sick scheme by a sick woman to scramble our brains, just go with the flow.

Nice capture... Unsure of whats going on here but being a scholar in ancient languages I see the writing round the top of the "Pot Queen" says "Made in China 2007" lol. No my mind is wandering again... Great work!!

Scrambled brains.... must be a side effect of searching in the orange building, for the elusive Queen Poti, which can only be glimpsed by Queen Tara, when the stalking pots attention is drawn elsewhere. Long live Queen Tara!!

Holt cow, Batman...what has gone on since I first saw "stalking pots" yesterday? I'll have to go back and review the bidding. This reads like an Indiana Jones movie gone bad :-)

OMG!!!! You did manage to get a shot of her,...in all of her magnificent regal glory! What a beautiful pic, and no soldier pots around her to prevent you. The stalking pots must accepted you into their colony in order to let you get so close like that. Perhaps they recognized your own stalking tendencies and regarded you as kin, with some form of ornate hairy lid. It looks to me like the writing at the neck could be a collar infused to her neck upon reaching adulthood, part of the potting rite necessary to reaching the queenly status she now enjoys. WOW!!! What happened? It looks like so many had soooo much fun with this, and managed to have it take up a life of it's own. Thanks so much for posting this....and the dedi! Hope you feel better soon M'lady!! Dave

LOL @ Ronnie! Tara, this should all be captured into a book; it's probably how Terry Brooks got started. Aside from this beautiful picture of the pot queen, the running commentaries are hysterical. Who knew we had so many brilliant comedians here? LOL!

OMG! I thought you were stalking the poor defenseless pots. Little did I realize this was a hive of pots. I think they might be building nest all over the world. Their favorite place to assemble seems to be the lawn and garden centers and lawn and garden departments in other stores. I have a theory as to why they chose these areas. My theory is as follows. They have assembled in these areas hoping unsuspecting humans would come along and take them home. They decorate themselves. male and female identically to increase the odds of you bringing home a mating pair. This way they can then expand their area and numbers. Once in your home or on your property they start sending out signals that take over your mind. Soon there numbers would be strong enough to enslave mankind into doing such things as making them ornate headdress made of foliage and flora, feeding them, and bringing them drink. Also showering them with cold clean water. OMG I just realized they are already enslaving mankind. Quick call up the resistance, we shall not go down without a fight.
