I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/ÂÂ

When life gets you down throw rocks at it until it lets you up again. You have a nice stack to start throwing. Hope everything turns around for you soon. Good Luck.

An excellent "impossible" capture: I love those totally surreal rock things you can come across sometimes when keeping your eyes open, like the rock face I shot in Paris and used in my latest collage .

Another amazing rock pile! Hang in there!

Perfect balance??? How cool would that be to have in our lives?? You did just demonstrate that it's possible. Your words "remember to show the ones you love how much you appreciate them, because you never know what might happen, next." I know this all to well, lost two brothers within a month of each other in two separate incidents. Take nothing for granted, and appreciate what you have now. The only constant we will ever have in life is change!

Very cool hobby! On a vacation to California last year, visiting Saucilito (sic) I watched an older gentleman balancing rocks on the shoreline...was amazed at how he could balance them in a single try. Image and words co-exist very well.

A perfect reminder of how delicately life is balanced, and how we need to be constantly vigilant to maintain that balance....

Well chosen photo to illustrate your point of view. Make every minute count. Forget how selfish others really act. No matter how short the time together any combination will work.

I perfectly understand the parallel between the outcome of the financial crisis in the lives of many people around the planet, and this equilibrium in your stone work composition. The result is here outstanding and gorgeous.

Beautiful photo!

It's a bit more than casually disturbing when one considers that the current financial crisis is a global phenomenon: when America coughs, the rest of the world comes down with a nasty case of the flu! It does show how fragile things are and how easily we've come to elect our inferiors into positions of authority. On a level, your image here does capture that, though it also provides a glimpse into unexpected beauty. Things, when balanced are often amazing, and well...it's because of you that I've made a few tiny attempts at rock balancing myself, though one was more an example of cobblestone balancing. Great work!

Jeepers, sorry I missed this one, Michael. It looks impossible that it could remain standing.
