My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

man, I'm gone a week and I come back to a saga! The postwork is there, but it brought out the beautiful lines & spills that were already in the enamels, and they're beautiful! (I hope that doesn't ruin the Queen saga: It's just a beautiful sight, those isobars. Voila!) As for the party of the elders/guards/pot heads (oh, snap!), it sure looks like a party. I already blew all the "pot" puns in a fav (pot luck, going to pot, smoking pot), I'm desperately trying to come up with something else. (E-pot? [ebot]?) I could do "Pol Pot" but that'll destroy the whole thread. So I'll just say I love the shot, and when you see patterns and lines like this, all the warring factions have to stop and say, "whoa, this is beautiful!" Love the work you did on this. And kudos to the contributors to the show!

Ah, the wonders of alien life forms. I always suspected that pots had lives all their own, but I never imagined I (or anyone else) would be around to witness one of their fiestas. I've done a bit of research and have learned that Queen pots will often allow their guards time off during certain seasons (usually in years ending with odd numbers) to de-glaze so to speak. It has something to do with The Firing of the Kiln ceremony, an exceedingly solemn affair, I'm told. Fantastic and brave work here. And now you've got me wondering what's next. I'm sure it'll be just as enlightening. As for the photo itself, it's vivid and full of festive life. It's the life of its own party. Great work!

It does make me smile. As do the wonderful vibrant colours - I am a sucker for such things.
