Description
As she glides along the water, peace just ran across my mind. I share with you this swan and the thought of peace.
Today is my grandmothers birthday, she and I were very close. I think she would have loved this swan. She has been gone since 1986,although it's been along time I still miss her, so I dedicate this to Grandma Irma, it was a hard fight and I hope you are and have been at peace.

I remember Cheri taking this, which is pretty cool, considering my advanced age to be able to remember anything at all! This was from her first trip to the New Zoo. I think she took as many photos of this as she did the peafowl.....I'll never get peafowl out of my head......hey!! I remember that too! I never did get to meet Grandma Irma, her time ended here almost fifteen years before I met my sweetie, but I've heard a lot about her, and really wish I had had the opportunity. She was more like a mother to Cheri than a grandmother, and so very close to her heart. She would've really loved this sweetie, and so very grateful to be loved and thought of so much,.....the way you do!

This is stunning. Swans always manage to stand out so elegantly against whatever background they find themselves before. There's always a sense of romance (in the artistic sense) in them; and in some strange way, I probably like them because of their long, almost saurian necks...but that's just me. The reflective dedication that accompanies this is yet another facet of its beauty.
