Description
We went down to the fireworks last night. This is the first time I've ever photographed it. We had a bad spot, under a tree and third row in from the shore. We also had a group sitting in front of us that was very inconsiderate and literally sabotaged some shots, because they could. He would stand up, or she would stick her camera in front of my lens, look at me and smirk.
Next year I am going down there at 6 in the morning when the park opens and plotting out our spots. The groups coordinator got down there at 11 am and plotted out the entire first two rows. I heard them talking about how they paid to be there and we were inconsiderate for being in their area. Dave's grandfather built that park, when he was mayor, for everybody to enjoy for free!
Sorry I didn't mean to go on a tangent, it just really makes me mad about all the fleecing of the senors in the first place, and they don't realize they are even being fleeced. They were all from a retirement village and villas group.
Ok I'll stop and save it for another time.

First of all, next time you have to be behind a callous and inconsiderate group like that, how about placing some firecrackers, or M80s, under where they're sitting? That should even up the score a bit. As for the seniors, I'm one myself, and know that many are out for the extra buck, no matter the source of their greed. In any event, Cheri, a set of marvelous fireworks fotos in this wonderful collage. Love them all, but the center one, with the squiggly streaks of light, is my fave.

I felt so bad for her, she tried so hard to get her shots, just so she could share them with you. Cheri spent pretty much the entire time looking through the view finder, and because of that missed most of the wonderful display. The spot we had didn't look so bad at first, and then just before dusk,....they showed up. I was actually taken aback by their attitude, the went so far as to move their previously set chairs a few feet farther back towards us so that what would've been a good place, immediately became almost terrible, all we could see were their chair backs and shriveled heads. I really think that goodoleboy could be onto something, I'd probably end up spending the night in jail, but unless they have something a bit more assured than Depends, they most likely wouldn't stay for long. I do have some M80's too, real ones from back in the day when men were men and sheep were nervous! Oh yeah... next years gonna be different indeed....cackle! Oh!.....Nice post baby, you managed to grab some really great shots despite all of the difficulties. I'm very proud of you, and appreciate your efforts!

Well, this just goes to show that a good photographer gets her shots .. and you sure as heck did! Not only are they awesome shot regardless of those inconsiderate #*&@!$# idiots in front of you, but you have displayed them in a marvelous and unique way! Your presentation is as awesome as your captures. And your rant is RIGHT ON!!

Idiots, you can't live with them and you can't eat them either! Ugh. But despite their best, misguided, puerile and utterly senseless antics, you got great shots! It's always pretty hard to photograph fireworks; I can attest to that, but when you get them, like you did here. WOW! This is a fantastic collage that captures so much of the good stuff in regard to your night. And don't worry about ranting, it helps, and besides, it's a fun read. Fantastic work on all levels.

Ah yes! The 'inconsiderate ones!' (I could use stronger language!) It's JUST the same at Airshows! People arrive early - set up their 'village' with chairs, wind breaks, picnics taking up about four square miles of room. Sit down UNTIL an aircraft arrives or takes off - THEN STAND UP!! Right in front of your lens, even though they are at the front AND have chairs! (If you are those people - think!!) Sorry - moan over. You still managed to get beautiful pictures! Well done. I have yet to attempt Firework shots... Rob.

Awwwwwww Cheri...you did get some very beautiful shots...I am horrified how some people can be so intentionally rude to others. Like you, I was standing behind a camera taking pictures to send to my daughter in the hospital so she would see a bit of them...I'm glad you shared with us...they are very beautiful!

You know my friend of the times there are people without scruple who think they are navel of the world. However they belong to the innocence. And as the innocense seize them they become even more innocent. Not easy of coîncider fires to their burstings especially when they there of ace not much But the important It is to remember our savours. Cheer and mile mercies. And of the rejections of the company there will be always. Because they cannot evolve/move My opinion my friend. Escuse me of my vexations ((5++)) Tu sais mon ami des fois il y a des gens sans scrupule qui se pensent le nombril du monde . Pourtant ils appartiennent à l'innocence .Et quant l'innocense s'empare d'eux ils deviennent encore plus inocent . Pas facile de coîncider les feux à leur éclatements surtout quand ils y en as pas beaucoup Mais l'important c'est de se souvenir de nos saveurs . Bravo et mile mercis .
