Description

Hello, it was time for the family reunion today. I took 201 pictures and some of them even had people in them. I would rather catch people acting normal rather then posing. That's where Dave named me ninja photographer. They never knew I snapped a picture and when I show them they are like "Hey when did you do that?" I tried " catching the dragonflies" with my camera, with no luck. Then I decided to just go stand down there. After a while they had no problem with my presence. This is not cropped or even zoomed. I was this close. I have the rest of the pictures as I walked slowly up to it. It did fly away when I tried to go one more closer, but hey that's ok, I got this. Thank you all for all the wonderful comments on my last posts. I cherish each and everyone of them. Thank you for stopping by to take a look. By the way zoom on this is awesome. Have a wonderful, night/ day. Your Friend Always and huge hugs, Cheri

WOW!!!! I'm off playing all day knock down drag out volleyball, and Cheri's stalking the shoreline looking for these guys. She posted one early on in her gallery here, (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1870342&member). Go look, really....I'll wait, ok? This is so much better, Cheri had such a hard time getting them to sit still, and found out that shouting "STAY" doesn't really work very well at all. She left most of her ninja garb home, so this is especially impressive! No smoke, no mirrors, and one fantastic shot! Zoomed in is amazing! I am so proud of you sweetie,...........and sooooooo sore!

Great capture, as they don't sit still for long. Mikey my cat loves to catch them and well, they become lunch. He is a cat, can't help himself. Good mosquito catchers those Dragon flies.

I can't even get them to sit still when I don't have my camera with me! I don't think I've ever seen one when I've had a camera in my hand. Excellent capture! Congratulations!

Dragonflies are always fascinating to watch and to photograph, though I have yet to get a decent dragonfly image. They usually fly away, or if they get close enough to photograph, they're usually bumping into me as well! Gorgeous capture, wonderful colors and details. Super! And did you know that dragonflies can't walk on a horizontal surface? They can only climb.

Stellar POV and clarity in this ultra spectacular capture of the exquisite and unsuspecting dragonfly, Cheri! Love the wing textures. Sometimes we just get real lucky. Either that or your ninja skills have greatly improved.
