Description
The Lehua flower is everywhere in Hawaii, mostly red ones. There are white and I know Errol's on a quest for the rare orange one. It has a beautiful legend**, I heard it from both Errol and Stella while we travelled the roads that great day.

Fantastic details and color! I love the DOF. The red is so intense but not overpowering and I like the leaves in the background, the way they're nicely fuzzy, like The Supremes backing Diana Ross. They're subtle, but they're there, adding a lot to the whole picture. Great work.

Beautiful capture of this Lehua flower. I think someone has picked the lehua flower cause it has been raining all week. Also, I just went Sunday morning to Kalapana at the lava area and the lava has lite the mountain in red. Aloha

a vivid and bursting shot, with powerful reds and a really nice angled pov; and the faded reds in the background feel like curtains. I haven't read the legend only for lack of time, but I'll save it to read later. I'm sure it'll enhance my appreciation of your photo. But the photo by itself is filled with real power...
