Can I get one for each foot? I've seen one of these in the parking lot at work. They are INCREDIBLY SMALL.

Tough to put twin toddlers in the back seat in their car seats. Oh, you can't take children under 14 in this car? Oh, you can't have more than one child when cars like this become forced on the market? Sounds like far more trouble than it is worth!!!

bmac62: This auto was built explicitly for two, which precludes children. Hence, the name Smart fortwo.

When I first saw these in England I thought they looked like running shoes. I still think of that every time I see one. Cute, yes, and probably very economical, but they don't fare too well in crash tests, unfortunately. So I guess I'll pass for now! Great shot, though, Harry!

These cars are very popular in my area but I would not like to imagine getting into a wreck in one of those......

It almost looks like an enclosed skateboard!! Shape of things to come? I've seen modified versions of them, those might not be so bad, vette, Ferrari and Lamborghini styling to them. I didn't realize these were already available, thanks much for the share!!

I'm afraid I am not a fan of these tiny cars, but I'm sure a lot of people will be glad to get one. I'm sure we'll be seeing LOTS of these in the near future.

If you like this but need a car with a back seat and some attitude . . . check out the Scion IQ . . . I have NO IDEA how they can get people in the back . . . but . . .

My word, it's smaller than I realized! Is that a hatch back, i.e. trunk I see? It's too small to hold anything, lol!!! Great shot, Harry, and very eye opening!

LMAO Harry!!! With my height I will have to re-register this car as a walking ring should I ever purchase one!!! They are adorable though and are very common here in South Africa... Cute capture and narrative! :))

They will be the future, but the future will be a while yet. I like them and could live okay with one. Unfortunately there are way too many redneck fools around here and every one is driving something that could hold two of these in the back.

The most attractive thing about these is that they can be parked end on to the pavement. I love 'em, there are scores round here, but I can't get 4 dogs in there, or the furniture I often move around! They also cost more than my £350 Volvo estate!

great to read the comments here! About not being able to get kids in it, that some people wouldn't want such a small model, and that it looks like a pair of running shoes! Yeah, I'm not sure how they'd hold up in crash tests, but they have to be economical (as your specs show) and they're really cute cars! And as with so many of your car shots, you give us more than one view, and they fill up the shot. This is so small, it fills it up without any trouble. Nice lines, a nice squat shape, and you got the chrome nicely too. Fun capture. And I like Andrea's remark that they can be parked with the end on the pavement. Maybe it's the wave of the future...

Ok, IT can't be any more claustrophobic then riding in a Ferraro, this even looks higher. That way you don't fit nicely underneath semi trucks because the driver can't see the itty bitty car and makes a lane change on top of you or have someone back over your front end in a parking lot at a target, when you're trying to leave because your late for Dave's niece's wedding...... P.S. We made it to the reception.
