Description
Today it is the last but one day of our vacation in Canada. So Sandra (Sandra46) and I spent all the day at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. While working on the new episode of Canals of Mars, I felt like to post this photo.
What do you think it is?
Period: WWII.
A clue: It is neither a plane nor a sub! ;-D

I've been to the war museum too, cool place. It looks like one of my old woofers, but I'm going with the hub of a tank wheel.

forgive me for getting here so late...I have been so behind I've missed half the galleries I normally go to...but I've so appreciated your comments, and at last I get to comment on something of yours. I don't know what this is, though I thought it was a cannon mouth, or something looking into a tank. (Actually I thought it was the lens of a very old camera, but I'm not a photographer, so if that's way off, you'll have to forgive my ignorance!) But whatever it is, it's a wonderful grained & decayed object, the kind of decay that speaks a world; and the texture and clarity is beautiful, as is the light to dark as we go inside the hole. A wonderful photo, and it looks like you have a very creative gallery, and I'll be here again, next session. But before I leave another day, I wanted to come here at last. It was wholly worth it. This is a beautiful shot.
