Striking contrast. Yet another benefit of Hawaii. Volcanic soil must be very rich...although that doesn't sound right. I think of volcanic ground...I picture pumice rock.

Christmas in July. Works for me! The colors are great, and the details are nice too. I love that looking-straight-down POV, where even if you're not looking straight down, you still get that feeling of depth.

well this is another of your plant shots that capture plants as if they were in the middle of a very intense interaction. You get all these contrasting energies, you go against type by allowing things to flop all over the image and to dominate and shape the image however they wish, you get odd plants "reaching out" for each other (tara), the point of view is outstanding (ana), and the textures are a symphony of variations, hues, etc. And you're not afraid to let one hue dominate, even though the others have their say. Great shot. Love it. And pure you.
