I love this! You do black and white as awesomely as you do color! You have a real eye, you know. The composition is perfect and elegant, and I love wind farms. There was something of a contaversy surrounding a proposed wind farm outside of a suburb here...the residents didn't want one, despite the fact that with gas prices being what they are, such a farm could conceivably lessen our reliance on non-renewable, pollution-producing fuels. Oh well. This is fabulous, and it tickles my sf-writer's fancy too!

Wonderful image indeed Marilyn!! The answer might be blowing in the wind but the strength of the image lies in the B&W. Wonderful POV too! Bravo!!! xx

Love the POV, and yes, the B&W is perfect. I also find these fascinating, especially in large numbers like there are out in that area. Excellent work!

How on earth did you get a shot of Altamont Pass? I've never found a stopping place and the wind is so horrendous through there! Excellent job!

OMG, the fantastic wonders they can create with an Erector Set! Are you sure this isn't a scene from the movie(s), "War of the Worlds?" Stellar capture of these components of the wind farm, Missy Maz!

These gigantic wind turbines are finally coming East, here. There's a giant wind farm on the ridge top about 12 miles from home.

well it's Marilyn time! I love when you venture into B&W, it brings out even more sides to your talent. The wind turbines have many different textures & lights, and your tilt—ie, the angle you got—makes them look like they're bending into the wind to 'catch' it. And your sky is a nice silvery gray, which makes the image sedate, almost reflective. Very nice shot, and I hope you do more B&W. I guess you could call this a 'technological' version of Dylan's song; though compared to most energy production means, these actually look very old-fashioned. Glad some places are using wind...I hope more do in the future.
