Yes, this is an orchid TREE--it's in my cousin's front yard in Hilo. Sure wish I could grow one in MY yard!! zoom==ZOWIE!!

I thought it was an orchid tree. Before I saw one at the City of Refuge, I never knew orchids grew on trees. Nice capture. Your cousin is lucky to have one in the yard. Aloha

lots of variety of hue, texture and focus...a very rich shot. You captured the richness & variety of this opulent variety of flower...lots of wonderful motion too. Really beautiful, several stages in the branches & buds too. A "Bach"-like shot, meaning it has lots of separate "lines" going at once, and they're all in sync with each other...
