Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

And glorious they are. Somewhere I have old snapshots of us as a young family hiking along the trails in Muir Woods north of San Francisco. That was a memorable experience...to think that some of those trees date back to the time of Christ! Amazing.

I always feel uneasy when I'm 'in' a pic on this side of the road! Your postwork accurately relects my fear!

I'm glad to see and hear that there are still so many of them around. The timbering moguls haven't cut these down I see.

LOL Arthur, we have lost that argument mate, I just say we drive on the "Right" side of the road even if it is on the "Left" :)...Top shot maz, love the warm glow here.

It's a long way to Tipperary, It's a long way to go. It's a long way to Tipperary To the sweetest girl I know! Goodbye Piccadilly, Farewell Leicester Square! It's a long long way to Tipperary, But my heart's right there. Stellar capture of the smooth paved road as it glides its way through the forest of redwoods, Missy Maz!

your coloration is beautiful, you made this into a dream vision, and the reds & greens are almost Impressionist in the way they create contrasts. Plus, the yellows of your taller trees give it a strange sense of luminous dreaminess. It's always nice when an artist re-interprets their home to make it look as if it came straight from within them. This is beautiful, Marilyn. A very inward shot.
