Description
I'm going back a ways, to my visit to Huntington Beach, Ca last year. This was taken from the pier, just after sunrise. I've always loved surfers and they provide a wealth of foto ops. And lately, well, I've been thinking about them even more often for some reason.

This is amazing, but then, so much of your stuff is, so that's not really surprising at all. Your POV is superb. A bit spooky though, because it makes me think you were in some precarious position, angled outward--almost like you're perched on a mast-head--just waiting to get this shot! As always, you have a super sense of color and motion, and I love the sensual swell of the wave itself. This is stunning, gorgeous work!

the golds here are beautiful, as are the silken strands of water & light. And the surfer seems to stand between the two. Nice that you got the surfer & wave in one corner, so the calmer sea around it could cushion & stretch out the shot. All nice choices. And you're thinking of about surfing these days? Maybe you want to go into the waves and just be one with infinity...not a bad place to be, lol...
