Description

Bryce 6.1/Photoshop/Photoscape This started out as a modelling exercise to create a new landing pad, then an entrance to a building was added, then the building.I soon realized I needed a new vehicle, and set about creating one, with the intention of having it sitting on the landing pad.It soon became apparent that figures were needed to give a sense of scale and interest. Finally,I panned out and added foreground and background structures and another vehicle, and then decided enough was enough and rendered the image. The structures are all created in Bryce from positive and negative prims, and rendered in textures from cgtextures.com and modified presets. The hovercars are a combination of positive and negative metaballs and prims, rendered in preset metal and glass mats. Two radial lights were added, one in the theatre itself and one providing ambiant light off-camera at right.A sphere rendered in a volumetric cloud adds smog to scene, and atmo and lighting are custom. The figures are lattices created in the terrain editor and rendered in a skin mat, with clothing overpainted in Photoshop. The light glows and sig were added in Photoshop, frame and saturation boost in Photoscape. Thanks for viewing, and any comments you wish to leave!

This looks great , I like the scale of it and the atmosphere you create is fantastic. It gives me the impression of a giant mouth they are walking into almost arachnid...but thats just my mind.

This is awesome, Neil. Incredible sense of scale and the modeling and mat work are top quality. Your usual creativity when it comes to an ATMOS heightens the sense of SciFi and future space structures. Kudos on the vehicles, too.

Your scifi scenes are always so intriguing, the feeling that if you just keep watching it something's going to happen is always so strong. Great work!

Your patience has paid off again Neil for a superb sci-fi scene. People say that I'm patient but I think you certainly have more than me. Tony.
