I am a graphic artist involved in the creation of 3D and 2D artwork.
I am based in the United Kingdom, in the County of Oxfordshire.
My website has more info, images and Tutorials:
http://mysite.freeserve.com/bigraphics/index.htmlBIOThe images I create span a spectrum of genres, from Science Fiction and Fantasy, to more down to earth imagery, such as landscapes and buildings. I also create 2D illustrations and photo style montages.I am able to supply these images for a variety of media including print and the Web.
I have been involved in conventional art since childhood, but upon discovering the Amiga and Deluxe Paint many years ago, I realised the computer provided another medium to create artwork. I soon started to use Photoshop version 2 when this became available on the PC, and since then I have used the computer for my art, progressing through all the versions of Photoshop and Illustrator, and the 3D software Cinema 4D XL 7 and World Builder 3. I still use my conventional art skills, as the majority of my work starts out as a hand drawn pencil sketch that is used for reference or scanned into the computer for use as a template, and traditional drawing skills can then be applied through the use of a Wacom A4 drawing tablet and Photoshop.

it is very impressing! Beautiful sky with rays. How do you make the fog? May be, the texture on the mountains could be a little more structured? There I missed the pretty BRYCE-textures. Let's merge BRYCE, AWB, MAX, VUE and ... ;-)

Another great exposure of what you can do with WB ! BorisB asked about the fog, I think these are 3d Clouds, but I'm not sure, it's up to Capt morgan. Another question from my side, that I wanted to ask before. Are all the trees placed as vegetation inside an area or placed there one by one by hand. In my last image I tried to place grass inside an area but it didn't worked at all on a Grayscale profile (all the heights were wrong ?).

Yes, the fog is made of 3D clouds placed in a area with opacity map added to break them up. They are no good as clouds, but they do make a great fog/haze with opacity map added. I use a greyscale noise image created in Photoshop. Trees are placed in area as "scattered shaded objects", but I always have to change the "Min Height/Max height" setting in the distribution setting for "scattered Shaded Objects" when using greyscale profiles and placing objects, other wise they tend to vanish from view. ( Buried in the landscape I guess ).
