Not my usual stuff, of course :) but for me this is a milestone.
Not that it is an "aviation" picture, but the fact that IT IS MY FIRST TRY AT UV-MAPPING a model from scratch.
The B-29 model itself is an untextured freebie from the I.N.R.I.A. database.
Much more could and will be done, but I just had to make a scene with it, being quite pleased with this first attempt (which included making a separate reflection-map, and the propeller-blur alphaplane in PS (the yellow propeller-tips are almost invisible, but they are there)).

Some of you may think it's low-level, making something out of being able to UV-map a texture, but for me it's huge. I've had the freeware "UV-mapper" for several years, opened it a few times, just looking a little, going "????"
But now I spent more than 5 minutes looking at the options, and downloaded the latest version.
Took a look at the galleries and the tutorials.
After some 15 minutes of trial-and-error, exporting some maps and mapped objects, I finally got it - and it's easy!
For me, who really likes making/editing textures in Photoshop this is SO big.
Should have pulled myself together to this years ago :)

LOL Lars, I know how you feel about UV mapping and went through the same thing with UV mapper. This is a very well done map. Your plane looks most realistic and the image is excellent. I'l be looking forward to more mapping from you in the future.

Fantastic work IMHO! I've always wished I could figure out UV Mapper, but never took the time to learn it. Too much of a dunce to learn anything complicated I guess. I applaud you and think you have all the right in the world to make a big deal out of it!
