Description

I didnt like the sea in yesterday's image...should have replaced that image with this one, but cant make myself loose comments:) Done in Vue 7 complete. I think it should be possible to do the cloud 'tricks' using earlier versions, as long as you have access to the function editor. The sea was created using v7's water editor. Tip: use 'choppiness' very very sparingly if at all. It tends to create spurious lines.(0.15 in this image) ------------------------------------------------- An adventurous cloud wanted to explore the sea underneath, it didnt realize it will tear a hole in the social fabric of the cloud layer. Is the lone cloud red because it is so excited about his adventure or is it embarrassed and ashamed about the damage done to his community? And is the green'ish tinge of the other clouds? a sign they are a bit envious? ------------------------------------- This simple image was created to demonstrate the use of the function editor to create single clouds and holes in clouds. Absolutely wonderful. I really like the colors more in this one, and the sea is much more watery. So vivid.

i like the ocean better here, but it also seems less integrated with the rest of the image. it almost seems superimposed. even though the foam on the other image was less realistic, it gave the ocean a softer, lighter color that worked with the sky rather than against it. the cloud especially seems removed from the sea. it's a cool effect, especially knowing it's all 3d, but to me it now looks like 3 different cut-out elements.
