Description

Winsor Newton watercolor paint on Yupo paper. This is my first painting on synthetic paper, it is a completely different experience compared to painting on traditional paper. Time will tell if I get the hang of it.

Two legged butterfly? Pretty cool beginning. Different papers caused me to NEVER get the hang of water colors. Good luck.

I got my first sheet of Yupo by accident, now I'm always looking for new ways to play with it. Beautiful colors and comp.

To me, it looks like you already have 'the hang of it.' Wonderfully expressive painting-- so difficult for most. You make it look easy :-)

it's a simple composition with a lot of detail work. i'm impressed that this is your first attempt with synthetic paper. what interests me are the white areas on the top wing that are so sharp, they make the areas they surround seem as if they were shiny and raised. if that's not due to digitizing the image, it's a very interesting effect. i like the looseness of the piece.

Another lovely one. As I said before, I love your way of using layers.
