Description

As promised, there was enough interest for me to present this, from Chrei's post Friday! My mom is 77 with plenty of spunk in that little body of hers. This was the first time she went to the faire dressed for the occasion. Cheri borrowed her a costume, and mom had a blast, even cavorted briefly with the village tax collector. ( Cheri got a couple of shots of that, hopefully they turned out good enough to show here). The two on Cheri's right are her daughter Brandi and her son Ryan,....so you all get more than promised. Pretty cool eh?

Nice picture sweeetie, but I also posted from today. http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1921420 This is Dave in his Ren Fair Garb. Just copy and paste it into your browser. Mom does have a lot of spunk and poor Ryan he got the hair , Brandi got my facial features. I guess it's better then the other way around. LOL . Great shot.

This is fantastic! The I haven't been to a Renaissance fair in forever! There was one in Dortmund, Germany, but it was more a town festival than a fair. Anyway, I love the costumes and the way everyone's personality seems to be shining through clearly and brilliantly. This is great work!

It was a great day!!! When I got to taking this photo, we'd already been there for about 6 hours, and lots of walking which is probably an understatement. You can barely make out the dragonfly pin mom is wearing, the necklace is too, but it's not visible in this shot. Dragonflies have a very special meaning to her, Cheri even wrote a poem pertaining to it, explaining it's significance, posted on the 18th of July. For what it's worth, and I should've mentioned him sooner, the gentleman on mom's left is an old friend of mine. He had called Friday, concerned about the recent layoffs where I work. I assured him that I was safe as of yet, and invited him along for today's adventure. Jim has an almost warped and twisted sense of humor as I do, making for a very fun time, regardless of the event.

Excellent outfits, excellent shot. I've looked at both pics now, and it seems to me that you all had a wild time, time and effort with costumes well spent. Keep up the good work, and post more from this! I find it fascinating, especially as events like this are very few and far between in my neck of the woods. Thanks to you both for sharing this:-)
