Description

This weekend there's been a big car show** in town. It's not my usual deal, but I decided to go and take a look. Well, I took all kinds of fotos, mostly of PARTS of cars!! And when I looked atwhat I got (150 of em), I realize I LOVE those hot muscle cars of the late 50's and early 60's Give me a hot Chevelle or GTO and I'll be a happy girl!! This, of course, is that great fin on a '59 Chevy, thatwas the year of fins for sure!! **cars, cars, cars

Yep, that was supposed to be the look of the future. Every car model had some sort of whale or shark type fin aboard the rear trunk area. And the T-birds had sequential turning signals on them. Aerodynamic...perhaps not, but then we didn't have to worry about the price of a gallon of gas.

Great shot. And it was nice you picked a RED car. Brings back all kinds of fond memories...I got my drivers license with a '54 Chevy. I memorized every bit of metal sculpture and chrome on all the mid-to-late 50s cars.

I got my license on a '55 Ford Ranch Wagon, 3 on the tree--my friends called it the ambulance and I was, of course, the ambulance driver!!!

va-va-voom (isn't that a 50's expression?) A big bold sweeping shot of a tail light, emphasizing all the chrom-light-metal sweep of the thing. This thing is almost abstract: But it's big & bold and all 59 Chevy. A terrific capture of an old style we don't see much more in cars; and off the road, it has a bold artsy presence that's really striking & fun to look at. I'm glad you took so many shots. I've already seen your posts to date, and they're all eye candy!
