Description
I waited days to post this because "200" weighed on my mind. I'm not sure about the finished image, but I worked on it many nights so (sigh) it was time to let it go... It's made from 3 of my traditional drawings: This, this, and this. (They're my earliest uploads...) Since I did traditional art for years, I wanted to bring it into my digital work. So I put these in PS and made 'plates of offering' for all of you, for your wonderful love & support. You've been very dear to me, and after a long year, you must know you're the reason I made this gallery in the first place. So a truly deep thank you from the bottom of my heart: I wouldn't have made this gallery without you, you can believe that...

I looked at this with joy and awe, then I went and looked at all three of the earlier drawings. Now I can appreciate what you've done here and take real pleasure in it. The way you combined all three; it works so well, they love being together and they dance and they sing---I can NOT wait for your next 200!! Thank you for doing this, my special friend!!

Mark you really made this 200th post of yours one to remember with this lovely image and your kind words for all your friends here. It is great the way you combined 3 traditional images from when you started out as a tribute in a way to all you have accomplished here. These Plates Of Offering are really lovely and each one a treasure for me.

SO exciting, I looked back at the earlier work; what great use you've made of it. I especially like the 3rd down, they appear to still be in the firing!

CONGRATULATIONS FOR 200:))MARK,HELLO:-)))THIS IS A FEAST!!!Your image of 200th is a gift as ALL your gallery is...and you offer all this to all of us!! thank you so much... because you are also offering YOU! So...THIS IS A TRESURE!!You put in this so very special images: where we can find your heart and soul; So... this is a double treasure from you. And your title is perfect and somehow mitycal: You combine here with the most pure simplicity: things from the earth, things from the spirit...well: things from YOU! And that light,an inner light like calling and protecting too... with joy and with emotion! BUT this is a feast, a "dreamy feast" and the warm colours and the light and the bamboo dancing with the wind like a spirit, shows all this. This is very special, mark!! So many thanks for doing this and OF COURSE: looking for much more from you,as always!

Congratulations! Time well spent on all of your images. I love these. They have the look of real pottery, and they go beyond into another realm altogether with the lighting and how the backgrounds blend into and out of each plate. If I were to choose only one favorite, I especially admire the last one--how it mixes the look of pottery and etched glass. That said, I don't have a favorite here as they all are lovely and each one has its own strengths. They are rich offerings and it's good to know that the gallery experience here has been such a postive and spiritual one for you. I hope everyone who visits these images takes time to look at the original ones. That Chinese bamboo painting is gorgeous and fluid, the drawing of pottery and the sketch of those rock formations are so solid and earthy. How wonderful that people and places and experiences from your past are echoed in these and are offered to your current and future friends here at the gallery.

Since I can't view this all at once on my screen, its like an animation or scroll. This really reminds me of East Asian art.On the second panel it looks like there is an ideogram on the bottom left. Really fabulous stuff. Glad you are back!

Wow, this is just burning with a kind of vivid passion. Each plate is unique and together they are a visual extravaganza. It's also great that you used some previous art, shows how you are evolving as an artist. The top and bottom ones have an Asian feel that is lovely and peaceful, even with the bright colors. And I'm glad you have been inspired to do your gallery by all who adore you, your art, and your special visions in creating your own art as well as in viewing others art. You are a gem, my friend, and I'm glad to call you friend. CC

As always, my friend, you have created a soul touching caress with your colors and forms. A piece to delight and soothe. It is always a pleasure to see what new delicious piece you have created to study.

Definitely beyond exquisite! Andy Warhol you say? I don't know, maybe, maybe not. Love the definition of the delicate flora as it envelops the orbs, along with the accompanying magenta color and textures, Mark! Seems oriental in effect. And it would be remiss of me if I neglected to congratulate you on your 200th upload. Lots of time and effort went into these.

OMG... the famous bamboo! AWESOME! This is a feast for the eyes with classy detailed lines over, I want to say, primitive (can I say that?) pottery jars and it is Wonderful! It gives it that antique meets modern timelessness. I love that Harry noticed the oriental effect. LOL@andy warhol as you've done that too! As you can see every one is aghast at your creation. I totally agree. What a fitting display for the 200th celebration. Bring it on!

Oh, no. I wasn't doing anything spectacular on the 28th of April...but wait, I was...that was the day of the cardiac angiogram. Anyway, this is beautiful and a very belated congrats on your 200th posting! (I know, with those you've slid out from time to time this is really 200+). Like all you've done with the foreground pattern...immature (frame one), mature (frame 4). And of course there is your trademark light shining through it all. Super.
