My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Outstanding capture. Kind of like the frazzled look. Nice detail. Dana

I love how his feathers just seem to be standing on end, gives him that kind of frazzled look. Don't we all know that feeling! The perfect dedi for Bill!!

This is a very fine shot indeed. For a hand held shot, really well done! But!!! Shock! 69mm Zoom! Ha! Try 300mm Hand held at an airshow trying to shot a moving aircraft... Lol.... Rob

Beautiful shot Tara!

it's really a nice shot, Tara, and the detail of both the surface it's standing on its feathers is quite fine. (Yeah, he does look a little rattled...) And who better to dedicate it to than Bill, with his wonderful and always fresh collection of bird shots! If you're interested (here goes) I looked up "turdus" and it has nothing to do with excrement. ("Thank you!" said the robin.) It's Latin for "Thrush". And if you want to know where "thrush" comes from—well, you don't wanna know. (Borrrrrring.) Just know it's related to one of the all time great words in English, "throstle". No, not "thro-TTLE," but "thro-STLE". Do I know the word? Not a bit. But I'm gonna start saying it damn soon. (Examples: "Don't touch the throstle: You'll get hurt!" Or, "Did you leave the throstle home again??? How will we start this car???") A very nice shot...
