Description

To Dave ( Elfin12u ) Ahhh, the classic American car. I was going to say muscle car, but I have a 72 Ranchero thrown in the mix. I didn't hear anything in while it was going past me to indicate it was modified in anyway. Now the other three those are muscle and when they drove past you could hear and feel the power as the ground rumbled under your feet. Ok here is the lineup: 1) Ford Mustang Convertible ( I know it's a late 60's model but not totally sure which one and oh boy was this thing modified under the hood. Not your mother's pony car. Yep, my mom has a red one. 2) 70 Plymouth Barracuda affectionately called the Cuda 440 six pack This one rumbled the ground the most and he even reved it for us. ( oh Mopar) My mom had one of these too. 3) 72 Ford Ranchero I wanted to tub one of these out like one of my uncles did. 4) 71 Ford Mustang Boss 351 Was hoping to see a Charger for Dave, but couldn't find one yet. Maybe I'll find a car show and get one for him. He talks about his Chargers a lot so I know he misses them.I know you still like classic cars even if they are not Chargers and I know you been having a tough time at work with all the lay offs and no help in your department anymore. I love you, Hang in there. Love you tons, Cheri Thank you for looking and all the comments on my previous posts. Peace, Cheri

Very sweet dedi Cheri! Great shots of these beauties. Just before you commented on Bitty Baby, we had a pretty little mustang (I think mustang) crash into the porch of one of the owners houses. Like I said it was pretty, now its not even a car...http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1889166...took out a telephone pole a block away and then our fence and porch...thought he might like to see how pretty it was...Best of luck to him at work, its a tough time now..

MMMMMMMMMOPAR!!! Sorry Chas, I loved that era, and all the great cars that sprang forth from it, My first car was a Chev, Impala SS 396, Then came my 69 Dodge charger 440 magnum police interceptor, 6 pack. Then probably my favorite, 70 Dodge Challenger RT SE, also had the same 440 engine and six pack (3 two barrel carbs)I wish I still had that one, The car was pushing over 525 horsepower. Thankfully gas was cheap back then, we'd fill up on airplane fuel out at the airport, 120 octane, and go run in the street competitions. Lots of stories with that car, some of which make me wonder at times why I am still here. Work really bites of late, I'm expected to pretty much do the work of 4 people, and train someone at the same time, it's frustrating as all get out, especially when I've had to show this individual almost 20 times over the last few days, how to copy and paste. His excuse is that he's not very computer literate......This is true, promise!!!! I think most six year old kids would have that down having been shown what, maybe twice? Thanks much for the pick me up sweetie,.....I guess the reason for the post means I'm really not doing a very good job of leaving work at work.

Classics on parade! And I appreciate you giving us the lowdown on the makes and models, also! Although I never owned one, the 1970 Barracuda has always been a favorite of mine. I think I have some Mustang fotos in my files, but won't be able to ID the year on them. Neato keeno collage, Cheri! Hope this helped cheer up Dave.

I learned to drive on a 68 Mustang. Of course at the time it was just an eight-year old car, but still ... it was fun to drive, and I just loved that thing! There was a pedal on the floor where most automatics had an e-brake, but this Mustang had a windshield wiper pedal there. You stepped on it once, and the wipers swished once. I freaked out more of my friends hitting that thing while going down the freeway. They thought we were going to die when the brake kicked in, but of course all that happened was that the wipers cleared the window of mist. LOL!
