Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

A loud "AHEM, EXCUSE ME!" may have awakened this fellow from his curious meanderings around the vehicle. Stark clarity and hot colors in this neato foto, Maz! Love that grille!

yeah I know photographers who tell me that every 100 shots or so some guy keeps popping up and won't budge. I think they're messengers, lol, and maybe he'll meet you 5 years from now with a very important message...anyway, in this shot you got lots of broad reds & yellows, the yellows acting as beautiful, almost painterly highlights; and once again you've captured a painted sense of the beasts you're photographing. And your crop (or pov, if the camera didn't go any further) is perfect, because this tall-mouthed beast fills up the whole frame. And you know what? The guy fits—maybe the gods were working 'for' you, with him—because he's staring the truck right back in the eye: They seem a pair. Maybe the truck is the reincarnation of a long-lost love, and they're finishing an argument from ancient Egypt, about the dishes...) I love this shot, and the blue & purple hues of the background buildings set off the reds of the truck really well. Lots of fun too.

You don't see too many of these around and rodded, generally known as a "COE" (Cab Over Engine), they sometimes get updated running gear and are used as car haulers for their owner's more serious hotrod rides. Love your gallery, I'll have to make time to do some serious perusing of your things...
