Well, no, he's not a bear, but I wisely refrained from the logical beeoooteful description of this bee. He was NOT happy and buzzed me the moment after I took this foto. I, being, older and wiser, left!!

WOW - firstly, you did the right thing by leaving... if you look and feel anything like me when stung by a bee, it was wise to go!!! Secondly, this is one superb image my friend - the clarity is amazing and I actually love the fact that he is facing backwards!!! Bravo... and happy surfing!!! :)

If memory serves me correctly, fuzzy wuzzy was a bear....and had no hair. In any event, stellar clarity, colors and textures in this shot of the insect, as it tries to keep its balance while delicately approaching the center pistil of the lovely pink bloom, Marilyn!

yes, a big bold macro of a bee, and you really got the furry coat too! And the flower is a big light-filled burst (that's a marilyn feature!) So maybe the bee is just OD'd on the luminous petals. I like his posture, he does look a little irritated, like he's gotta do the job (it's not even lunchtime and he's behind), but he's tired. Fine capture...and re. traceyjane above, lol, she's right I'm sure, but some photographers will suffer the indignities of hell to get the shot!
