Description

A friend of mine who is a member here, had mentioned that he would like to do a collaboration, of our work, sort of a challenge, he asked me to supply a few photos, and his challenge would be to compose a poem based on one of them. Well last night as we were chatting I mentioned I had a couple pictures for him, he told me he like them both and then got kind of quiet after that, so I figured he was perhaps busy with his son. Then maybe fifteen minutes later, he sent me a file, titled Bridge, and before I opened it, I said don't tell me you wrote a poem that quickly, and he replied yes with a smile. I hope you enjoy our team work it was fun, and Michael thank you for the inspiration, and for putting up with me, on the first file he sent to me, he had super imposed the poem over my photo, and I said oh that's nice but you are covering up my moon, LOL the second poem he sent did not mention the moon in the photo so I pointed that out, and he laughed and said I knew you would bring that up, and not too long after that he sent me a second, revised poem. Michael, I was amazed at your insight and talent to come up with such a beautiful poem and I have to say astonished at the small time frame it took you to write such impressive words. And thank you for asking, I think we make a pretty good team, and I hope you will ask again. Below is a link to his gallery where you can read his poem and view his gallery. to read his poem click here thumb_1928805.jpg
Bridge The Henley Street Bridge was built in 1930 and spans the Tennessee River To celebrate Labor Day the city of Knoxville, host an event called Boomsday, which is the largest fireworks display in the southeast, the display is held on the bridge and choreographed to music, its sort of a bid goodbye to the Summer season, and as they play the final song "Rocky Top", it marks the beginning to yet another season, Autumn or as I think as its better known here, UT Vol's Football season. lol

Done with your new camera? You've done a beautiful job with this photo. It has an almost an old world quality. Popped over to Michael's site and read the poem...very fitting. Wish I could write something of equal quality and particularly in 15 minutes! Super.

What a beautiful shot, Lynell. I wish it was smaller so I could see it all without scrolling. The ripples/reflections are fabulous. Keep up the great work.
