Description

As I was starting to walk away from the barn on the dunes, I happened to look back. The corrugated metal roof is almost completely gone, except for these pieces on the very edge. If I could have found something to climb on, I would have, for I wanted to get this straight down the roof line. Alas, no one left a ladder for me, there are no trees, not even a stump. Had to settle for my zoom and this POV.

The metal is almost all gone but the wood still looks very good. Redwood if I recall. That does last! Nice shot.

Really a super POV and textures in this capture of the deplorable conditions evident vis-a-vis the barn roof. Maybe it's a blessing you found nothing to climb on, because with those ever present flip-flops, you're just asking for trouble, M.

It looks like a good wind will bring that hanging piece of metal down. Then you'll have to retake it for us. Love the B&W. Dana

The POV is perfect here, and I love the fact that it's in black and white! I really like the loneliness and apparent desolation...this is an excellent and evocative moody, atmospheric shot.

well who would've known this was a barn? I swore it was a bridge. Ok you're shape shifting nature in these shots. (More native power...) It's great that you left out detail in the sky, the barn's rafters are the whole shot, and against the sky they're a big maze of geometric shapes & light & shadows. And those things on top—what, shingles falling off? They're amazing to see, like little creatures resting on the roofs. I'm sorry too that you didn't get to climb up, but maybe the angle was enough: It's very full & the b&w really speaks a world.
